Bogotá, Colombia-based tattoo artist Larry Botello González has captured the attention of the internet with his incredible metamorphosis into “Demon Dad.” His first tattoo at the early age of 12 marked the beginning of his path with body modification. By the age of 17, he had had his first major surgery, which included dividing his tongue into two halves.Larry has spent more than $22,000 on different body modifications throughout the years. Along with these drastic changes, he has also had expansion piercings, scarification, pigmentation of his eyes and tongue, tongue implants, and cuts to his nose and ears. Braiding is one of the more unusual operations he has had done; it involves cutting and tying sections of skin together so they heal into a braided shape.
Larry has a solid family life despite his outlandish looks. He and Angie Khaterine are married, and they have a daughter named Alice, who is five years old. Thanos is the name of their beloved dog as well. Larry stresses that his daughter has not experienced bullying because of his looks; in fact, other kids find her father’s artistic appearance admirable.
Many of the tattoos on Larry’s body are placed over earlier ones, making it hard for him to keep track of how many there are. “It is a very significant figure I’ve spent on tattoos,” he says, reflecting on the financial component of his metamorphosis. I’ve always made a respectable living, and the physical changes brought me a substantial sum of money. His love of body alteration has fulfilled him on a personal and professional level.
There are conflicting responses from the public regarding Larry’s appearance. He admits to getting nasty remarks on social media, with some referring to him as a demon or the spawn of Satan. He seems unconcerned, though, saying that he likes to be perceived as an evil entity. He fully enjoys his demonic look, which he claims is a result of his altered nose and horns.
Larry acknowledges that the nose treatment caused the greatest physical discomfort throughout his alterations since the anaesthesia there was insufficient. “I always wanted to be different, both on the outside and inside,” he says, going into further detail about the underlying motivations for his significant physical alterations. Many people have a beautiful face to cover up their depravity. In my opinion, the opposite is true. I would rather have a devil’s face and a lot of light inside of me so that I may act morally and be a decent person.”
Larry gives serious advise and warning to anyone thinking about doing comparable physical alterations. He stresses how crucial it is to make sure decisions like this are made because body alteration is a drastic, lifetime commitment that cannot be undone. Additionally, he emphasises the need of having a strong financial base, pointing out that those with significant disabilities could have difficulties in conventional work environments. In order to support their lifestyle, Larry urges prospective modifiers must be financially independent and, preferably, have a creative ability or own their own business.
Larry maintains good relationships with other parents despite his unusual look, and they admire him because of his composed and kind demeanour. Fans were astounded by the stark contrast when he recently posted startling images of himself prior to his makeover and a film chronicling his foray into body modification.
