Ingredients of Genmai-Cha

  • 4 Cup Water.
  • 2 tablespoons brown rice.
  • 4 teaspoons green tea leaves.

Let’s Prepare Genmai-Cha

  1. Insert rice in a small pan.
  2. Toast rice over medium-low heat unless it becomes dark in spots.
  3. Move to a small saucepan.
  4. Pour in the water.
  5. Bring to a boil.
  6. Now reduce the heat to low.
  7. Cover and simmer for 1 min.
  8. After 1 min, remove it from heat and steep for 3 minutes more.
  9. Add the tea and steep further for 3 minutes.
  10. Strain and discard the rice.

Genmai-Cha is ready to serve.
