In our first article regarding COVID-19, we discussed that how COVID-19 can spread? What are the transmission sources of Corona-virus? New update on this topic received from the Centers for Disease Controland Prevention, a United States government health agency.
Ever the first case of COVID-19 identified in Wuhan, China in November 2019. In late December, it was only restricted in China but within the next 60 days (only in 2 months) it transmitted to 150+ countries of the world. Total infected numbers of COVID-19 till today are 6483937 (6.4 million) out of which 2 million are only from the United States.
We already published an article on the transmission of COVID-19 wherein it is stated that “a 55-year-old person from Hubei Province of China was its first patient. Thisfirst-ever Corona or COVID-19 casewas updated on Nov. 17, 2019. Corona Virus / COVID-19 is a pandemic that spreads from person to person. It depends upon distance among persons. It only transmits to another person if distance among them is within 2 meters or 6 feet. It spreads by respiratory droplets released when this virus-infected patient sneezes, coughs, or talk.”
Centers for Disease Controland Prevention, a United States government health agency further updated new sources that might be caused to transmit Corona-Virus or COVID-19.
COVID-19 is a large virus family and it is known as “Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Corona-virus 2(SARS-Cov-2). As the first patient of this virus traced in late 2019, therefore it is also called COVID-2019. WHO (World Health Organization) declare COVID-19 a pandemic disease in March 2020.”
Corona-virus 2(SARS-Cov-2) are not only common in human but also in various species of animals including cats, camels, bats, and cattle, etc. When investigation made, it appeared that the first time SARS-Cov-2 appeared with MERS-CoV (Middle East Respiratory Syndromes) and SARS-CoV (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome). All these three viruses (SARS-Cov-2, MERS-CoV, and SARS-CoV) have origins in bats. This fact shows that the first time this virus transmitted from animal to human and then spread from person to person.
